For:

Baths
Cabinets
Doors

Where To Mount:

Towel Bars are mounted at the approximate height of 52 inches above finished floor.  Towel bars over the toilet are elevated to accommodate the towel lengths.

A towel bar or towel ring is mounted approximately 16 to 18 inches above the countertop.

A toilet paper holder is mounted at the approximate height of 27 inches above finished floor.

A grab bar is mounted approximately 33 to 36 inches above finished floor.  Wood backing is imperative for a secure mount to support the weight specifications.  Never attempt to install a grab bar where no backing exists, such as directly to drywall.

A cabinet pull or knob is generally put where the customer requests, however the most common location is 4 inches from the bottom or top of the cabinet door.  A cabinet pull or knob is centered in the drawer front.  If the drawer is 24 inches or 30 inches in width, it is recommended that two knobs or pulls be located on these drawers.  If the drawer is 10 inches to 12 inches in depth, two knobs or pulls are recommended due to the weight generally put in these drawers.

A door knob or lever is mounted at 36 inches above finished floor.

A deadbolt is 4 inches or 6 inches above the latchset or the lockset.

What to Mount With:

Cabinet hardware is generally supplied with 8/32 size screws if it is American made.  A standard 1 inch screw is supplied which is perfect for cabinet doors only.

Cabinet drawers come in various depths.  The average drawer depth measurement is 3/4 inch for the drawer box and 3/4 inch for the door front.  This indicates the screw length needs to be longer to accommodate the difference.  A measurement of the drawer box and front is needed to provide the correct screws.

Cabinet hardware that is made in Europe is metric.  The (M4) size screw is provided at a 1 3/16 inch length.  Again, this will work for cabinet doors but not drawers.

Bath accessories generally are sent with poor hollow wall anchors.  We suggest the "zip it" type in zinc, plastic or poly toggle.  Sometimes if the drywall or plaster is in bad shape, we will consider a regular spring toggle as a last resort.
